BeCider Seaside Festival

When: 25th-28th August

Where: Bredy Farm, Burton Bradstock

Bank Holidays and music go hand-in-hand, and the BeCider Seaside Festival is a little festival that packs a big punch. Featuring local, national and international bands from genres across soul, funk, disco, reggae, blues, folk, rock, Americana and more, it is now in its 17th year, with a line-up that just keeps getting better. The laid-back festival is worthy of a place in your August Bank Holiday plans - kids and dogs are welcome too.

There’s camping available at the festival, but nothing beats your own bed after a day of dancing! Enjoy every minute, before heading back to your Dorset holiday home to rest your feet with a pizza from the Pizza Shack at Silverlake Estate.

Enjoy the South West Coast Path

When: year-round

Where: The South West Coast Path covers all of Dorset’s coastline

One of the real highlights of owning holiday homes for sale in Dorset is the opportunity to have some of the most beautiful scenery in the world right there on your doorstep. The South West Coast Path starts or ends in Poole and the Jurassic Coast stretch of the iconic path is considered some of the most scenic miles of the whole 630-mile route.

Use your long weekend to tick off another section or two; the Weymouth to Lulworth Cove trail is a challenging route that will appeal to those who love an active holiday. A five-hour walk, it takes in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the most stunning section of rugged coastline and white cliffs. With your own holiday accommodation, you could even complete the whole Dorset section of the coast path, ticking off sections little by little over the years.
